Camera contains image processing
The HiPerCam 1 camera comes with CCD sensor, frame grabber, and image-processing computer in one housing. The CCD sensor works at illuminances as low as 0.1 lux, provides a resolution of up to 720 x 568 pixels, and offers dynamic settings to ambient conditions. The in-built image-processing computer contains 4 to 16 Mbytes of DRAM, is based on the PowerPC 403, runs at 33 MHz or 66 MHz, and can deliver 84 MIPS. Data output connections include Ethernet 10BaseT, modem, RS-232, and additional digital I/O lines. Software support includes Tornado 1.0, which contains a GNI-C compiler, a target source level debugger, and a VxWorks real-time operating system kernel, runs under Windows 95/NT.
