Software locates objects
Incorporating artificial-intelligence-based techniques, SmART Search software can locate objects or fiducial patterns in images at speeds said to be five times faster with a precision claimed to be 15 times higher than available methods, even when the objects vary in size, orientation, shape, occlusion, and appearance. Developers can show their machine-vision system the object to be found and the SmART Wizard feature automatically figures out the optimal run-time parameters to cope with anticipated object changes in the manufacturing process. Its geometric modeling automatically adjusts to variations in the process while maintaining 1/40-subpixel repeatability.
