Software simplifies image analysis Imaging Sandbox, an integrated testing environment, enables the prototyping and validating of image-processing sequences written with the Imaq Vision Library from National Instruments (Austin, TX). Featuring a virtual instrument and a virtual instrument library, Imaging Sandbox includes set-up utilities, a prototyping interface to help build image-processing sequences, and validation routines to observe how well a selected processing sequence performs on sample images. It interfaces with the Imaq PCI1408 imaging-acquisition board and other Imaq-compatible frame-grabber cards. The software requires 16 Mbytes of RAM and an 800 ¥ 600 ¥ 16-bit video card and runs under Windows NT/95/3.1.
