Management positions created
Cognex Corp. (Natick, MA), a supplier of machine-vision systems, has promoted Henk Schalke and Glenn R. Wienkoop to the newly created positions of senior vice president of engineering and executive vice president--subsidiary operations, respectively. Schalke joined the company in 1991 as vice president of engineering. In his new role, he will oversee software engineering, hardware engineering, and advanced research and development at both the company`s Natick headquarters and Acumen Division in Portland, OR. Weinkoop will manage and integrate the company`s current and future acquisitions. Previously, he spent more than 20 years in executive positions with Measurex Corp.
