MMX speeds PC-based machine vision As the latest in a line of machine-vision systems, the Prophecy 550 achieves inspection speeds in excess of 20,000 parts per minute. The system consists of the company`s IC-PCI half-slot PCI-based frame grabber; Sherlock, a Windows-based software package; and an Intel MMX-enabled Pentium processor running Windows NT version 4.0. Through IC-PCI modules, the company supports standard and nonstandard cameras including high-resolution matrix, linescan, TDI, CCIR, and RS-170.
