CompactPCI card blazes with Sharc DSPs

The $5995 ASP-S60 6U CompactPCI card comes equipped with six 120-MFLOPS Sharc DSPs and 12 Mbytes of memory. The DSPs are interconnected via 40-Mbyte/s link ports, the Sharc cluster bus, and the PCI/Sharc interface; serial port interconnections are also available. Bidirectional FIFO buffers are coupled with dedicated steering logic to offload byte/word conversions from either Sharc DSPs or the host at bus transfer rates to 130 Mbytes/s.
