(Salt Lake City, UT) has been awarded $600,000 from the Binational Industrial Research & Development Foundation for a joint product development with Israel-based TVG Technologies Ltd. to develop a rapid database and photorealistic scene-generation system for commercial civil-engineering applications called RapidScene-VX. . . . Cognex Corp. (Natick. MA) has received a purchase order of approximately $1 million to provide Cognex 5000 Series machine-vision systems to F&K Delvotec Bondtechnik GmbH, an Ottobrunn, Germany-based manufacturer of semiconductor-production equipment. The systems will be used to inspect the work site before die placement, guide a robotic arm to pick and place a die, and inspect the die for proper bonding. They will also direct the connection of ultrathin wires between semiconductors and lead frames.
