An intelligent image gateway module interconnects the acquisition, host, DSP, pixel processor, and auxiliary bus sections and sustains total transfers to 720 Mbytes/s between any five ports. Able to acquire from RS-170, CCIR, NTSC, or PAL analog sources, the image processor can also acquire 16 bits of digital data at rates to 80 Mbytes/s via an RS-422 interface.
