Braintech receives additional ABB orders

JULY 21--Braintech Inc. (Vancouver, BC, Canada), a provider of vision-guided robotic (VGR) software solutions, has received two additional orders for eVisionFactory (eVF) built VGR solutions from ABB Inc. eVF solutions are an exclusive and integral part of ABB's Trueview brand of vision enabled robots specifically designed for its automotive customers.

These two orders are an extension of an original 16-unit order for a North American automaker's body shop, first announced in March 2005. These Trueview systems will utilize Braintech's Xi2D technology to accurately locate the car body for assembly of the roof panel and lift gate. The Xi2D technology provides the latest in geometric pattern-matching techniques, along with high-resolution cameras to achieve a super-fine degree of precision required by these applications.
