Matrix Vision appoints Digital Network Vision as its North American distributor

APRIL 13--Matrix Vision GmbH (Oppenweiler, Germany) has appointed Digital Network Vision (Waltham, MA, USA) as its distributor for North America. Matrix Vision is a supplier of vision-related hardware and software, including its BlueLYNX line of intelligent cameras and BlueFOX line of USB CCD cameras.

The BlueLYNX is offered with a range of CMOS and CCD, area-, and linescan sensors. A PowerPC runs an imbedded Linux operating system. Development can be done on a PC under Windows and downloaded via the BlueLYNX Ethernet or USB connection. The company's software system mvIMPACT is fully compatible and contains preprocessing and applications such as measurement, Data Matrix reading, and more. Results of the inspection/analysis can then be passed over the network. Applications include machine vision, image analysis, and security.
