We’ve updated ourimaging and machine vision videos page with new informative content, as part of our Solutions in Vision series of content and analysis. This week’s videos touch on machine vision software and technologies.

On the videos page, we’ve added the following titles:

MVTec HALCON Tutorial 2: Variables in HDevelop

In this video you will learn how to use HALCON's development environment HDevelop to access all important information about the variables your machine vision application uses. Additionally, you will learn about tuples and arrays and how to use them intelligently to avoid loops in your program. These features will help you in terms of rapid prototyping, debugging, and developing machine vision applications.

Introduction to Machine Vision: Part 1 (Definition and applications) and Part 2 (Why use machine vision?)

Learn the basics of machine vision inspection in parts 1 and 2 of a 3-part video series (Part 3 coming next week.) Microscan offers a simple introduction to machine vision technology and explains how manufacturers use critical product information extracted from visual images to automate product tracking, quality control, and guidance. These videos will offer you a baseline understanding of what machine vision is, the benefits of using it in industrial settings, and the components that are required to create a complete machine vision system.
