JANUARY 25--The 1394 Trade Association (Dallas, TX) will hold its annual Developers' Conference June 25--27 at Microsoft Corporation headquarters in Redmond, WA. The conference, which was inaugurated in 1997, will feature a complete range of presentations on IEEE 1394b, wireless bridges, content protection technologies, the 1394 automotive specification, home networking design, and PC peripheral design, among other topics. Also scheduled are hardware and software workshops, and the popular "ask the experts" session.
Apple Computer will be one of the cosponsors, along with Microsoft. A long list of 1394 Trade Association companies will join as sponsors over the next few months. Additional details and deadlines concerning the Year 2002 1394 DevCon will be posted on the 1394 Trade Association Web site (www.1394ta.org) early in February. Registration will open in mid-March.
The 1394 Trade Association is a worldwide organization dedicated to the enhancement and advancement of the 1394/FireWire/i.LINK multimedia standard.
