Radstone announces partnership with Green Hills Software

(www.ghs.com), a real-time operating-system provider, have announced a partnership to provide the Green Hills INTEGRITY operating system on Radstone single-board computers and selected network and comms products. The availability of Green Hills INTEGRITY on Radstone hardware offers customers optimum total solutions for reliable operation of demanding applications in harsh environments. INTEGRITY's innovative and security orientated design is complemented by Radstone's advanced ruggedization techniques and deployed test firmware, together providing maximum operational confidence.

INTEGRITY is a secure, fast, deterministic, real-time operating system for embedded applications that place a premium on reliability, real-time performance, testability, and is DO-178B level A certifiable. Utilizing a processor's memory management facilities, INTEGRITY builds a firewall between the kernel and user tasks that prevents errant or malicious code from corrupting other user tasks or the kernel. INTEGRITY delivers maximum responsiveness and measurable determinism by running with interrupts continuously enabled and guaranteeing access to both CPU and memory resources for critical tasks.

The royalty free, high-reliability INTEGRITY operating system is available immediately on Radstone's PowerX family, including the latest fourth-generation technology insert, PPC7A. INTEGRITY for the EmPower and PowerPact families will follow before the end of the year. Green Hills Software is currently providing all BSPs. BSP's will also be available direct from Radstone by Q2/03, beyond which Radstone efforts will focus on added-value enhanced support package features.
