SEPTEMBER 4--Imaging Research Inc. (St. Catharines, Ont., Canada; www.imagingresearch.com), a provider of image-acquisition and analysis solutions, has announced the availability of Version 7.0 of its ArrayVision software, an industry standard for analysis of gene expression arrays. Version 7.0 incorporates a new protein-analysis module.

The new module analyzes protein/multiplex arrays in microplates and on slides. Protein concentrations can be quantified using standard curves derived from any number of reference proteins. In addition, new quality-control functions enable users to identify and rapidly remove outliers for improved data quality. A new export function creates a customized Excel worksheet displaying an easy-to-comprehend summary of raw data, curve fits, and calibrated data.

Imaging Research is a software and instrument developer, producing analytical imaging systems, screening systems, and bioinformatics software for life-science research and pharmaceutical drug discovery.
