JULY 10--Dimension Technologies Inc. (Rochester, NY: www.dti3d.com) has decreased the price of its 2018XLQ 2D/3D 18.1-in. LCD display to $5995 from $6999 in single-unit quantities. This display features a 1280 x1024-pixel resolution, analog (RGB) computer input, S-video and composite (BNC) video input, four user-selectable stereo input modes, and 16.7-million display colors.
The display is compatible with nearly all computer systems and workstations, and offers a switchable 2-D/3-D display alternative to CRTs. It is plug and play adaptable with such 3-D design software programs as 3d Studio Max, Strata 3D, SolidWorks, Studio Tools, CATIA, AutoCAD, Cult 3D, and trueSpace.
Typical applications include scientific visualization, medical imaging, microscopy, CAD/CAM and engineering design, image exploitation, security inspection, and face recognition.
