Imagis makes two appointments to its management team

APRIL 12--Imagis Technologies Inc. (Vancouver, Canada; www.imagistechnologies.com), developer and marketer of advanced biometrics-based software, has made two management appointments.

APRIL 12--Imagis Technologies Inc. (Vancouver, Canada; www.imagistechnologies.com), developer and marketer of advanced biometrics-based software, has made two management appointments:
Murray Jamieson--vice president-product development & services. Prior to joining Imagis, Jamieson was with Telus Communications and Telus Mobility, where he managed the direction and deployment of all information systems to support the wireless business. In this capacity, he was a key contributor to Telus Mobility realizing a $430 million EBITDA on revenues of $900 million in 2001. He has also gained expertise in software research and development in his capacity as director and consultant in the field of international library systems.

Earl van As--director of marketing. He will oversee the marketing team of Imagis and will be responsible for directing the company's product marketing strategy in line with customer satisfaction. Prior to joining Imagis, he served as director of marketing for Multiactive Software Inc., a provider of customer-relationship-management software. As a founding member of the team that developed the Maximizer line of contact management software, van As led the product definition, positioning, market-driver product strategies and life cycle management of this highly successful product.

Imagis Technologies Inc. provides a range of security solutions in various industry sectors including airports, law enforcement, customs, immigration and other government agencies, and gaming. The company currently has more than 100 installations of its software in the United States, UK, Canada, and Mexico.
