FEBRUARY 14--Clemex Technologies Inc. (Montreal, Quebec, Canada;www.clemex.com) has unveiled its RoboScope C-2002 image-analysis system, which will be used by a cancer-research center in France--Centre Alexis Vautrin--Universite Henri Poincar of Vandoeuvre-Nancy--to automate cancer-cell analysis. The RoboScope C-2002 imaging system automates the process using a robotic arm for the manipulation and placement of microplates on a motorized microscope stage, coupled with specialized Clemex software designed to detect and quantify objects of interest on multiple samples. From exponentially increasing the number of samples analyzed, to obtaining repeatable, consistent, and objective results, the research center believes that the apparatus will play a vital role in accelerating and improving the efficacy of its cancer-research efforts.
