Over 20 years of high-end grabbing, processing and camera simulation. Gidel specialize in high-performance Grabbing and real-time processing continuously providing best-in-market imaging and vision performance. We offer standard grabbers and camera simulators as well as flexible platforms and innovative tools enabling customization such as interfacing to a custom camera and adding user algorithm to FPGA.

At VISION 2016,Ruben Weintraub, Founder and CTO, Gidel, discussed his company’s expertise in image grabbing and real-time processing, including standard and flexible platforms and tools to enable customization, such as interfacing to a custom camera and adding user algorithmsto the FPGA.

One such product, which Weintraub showed at VISION, was the company’s Hawkeye frame grabbers, which he showed in CoaXPress, Camera Link, and a networking version. He also talked about his company’s Remote Camera Over Fiber Link Extension System, which enables frame acquisition from a remote Camera Link camera at a distance of up to 40 km without repeaters. The system features two SFP+ transceiver modules, each at 12.5 (or 6.25 GHz) for up to full duplex of ~ 25 Gb/s (20Gb/s net transfer rate.)
