MARCH 10--Breault Research, the Tucson, AZ-based (www.breault.com) developer of optical-systems-analysis software and engineering services, is now offering version 7.5 of its ASAP optical modeling software. The newest version of ASAP is even more efficient and user friendly. The upgraded features are designed to provide current and potential ASAP software customers with advanced capabilities, speed, and usability.

Major 7.5 release features include improved beam-propagation method capability; expanded ASAP builder capabilities; faster ray-tracing of IGES imported models and "tiled" arrays; integration of some of the AutoCAD (DXF) and bitmap (BMP) file utilities; easier method for coupling fields to the fundamental mode of a step or gradient index fiber; and a direct way to perform random iterations with a large variety of probability distributions available.
