National Instruments acquires MATRIXx simulation and control software

FEBRUARY 21-- National Instruments (Austin, TX; ni.com/matrix) has acquired the MATRIXx product line, an integrated set of software tools for control, design, and simulation of dynamic systems.

FEBRUARY 21-- National Instruments (Austin, TX; ni.com/matrix) has acquired the MATRIXx product line, an integrated set of software tools for control, design, and simulation of dynamic systems. Companies including Lockheed Martin, Volvo, and Boeing use the software for applications such as developing aerospace flight controllers and simulators and building automotive engine and brake control systems.

This acquisition is an important step in National Instruments' long-term strategy to supply engineering development tools for automated measurement and control applications. MATRIXx contains differentiated, leading-edge technology in control design, system modeling, and automatic code generation. The company is working with existing customers, systems integrators, and industry experts to further enhance the existing product and expand its use into more applications and industries.
