In order to simplify the use of MathWorks MATLAB software, BitFlow has released an upgrade version of its MATLAB adapter, which is available for free download on the BitFlow website.

The adapter is designed to acquire images from BitFlow frame grabbers into MathWorks’ MATLAB and Simulink software and now also provides full support for BitFlow’s software development kit 5.2 to 5.7, as well as compatibility for all BitFlow frame grabbers.

BitFlow’s new adapter—which is supported on 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows environments—also integrates additional capabilities for CLSerial read and write and CXP register access, both implemented via a variety of device-specific properties. The adapter is a dynamic link library that implements the connection between the image acquisition toolbox framework and BitFlow’s device drivers to deliver such features as data logging and triggering.

MathWorks’ MATLAB software is a high-level language and interactive environment for numerical computation, visualization, and programming which can be used in a range of applications, including image and video processing.
