e-con Systems releases 5 MPixel HD MIPI camera board

e-con Systems’ e-CAM51IMX6 is a camera daughter board for the Wandboard Freescale iMX6 Processor-based single board computer.

e-con Systems’ e-CAM51IMX6 is a camera daughter board for the Wandboard Freescale iMX6 Processor-based single board computer. e-CAM51IMX6 boards can stream full HD 1080p at 30 fps and supports HD 720p at 60 fps. It features an OmniVision OV5640 ¼” CMOS image sensor, a two-lane MIPI CSI-2 interface, and an effective focal length of 3.42mm. The camera board plugs into Wandboard-Freescale iMX6-based SBC via 33-pin flex cable, and also features a Linux camera driver and a sample application for video/image capture and preview. In addition, an Android camera driver is under development for the e-CA.M51IMX6.
