AutoQuant Imaging awarded more than $3 million in SBIR grants
OCTOBER 9--AutoQuant Imaing Inc. (Watervliet, NY) has been awarded two Phase I and three Phase II SBIR awards by the US National Institutes for Health for a total of more than $3 million. The grants will be used to develop software that will increase the resolution of optical microscopes, improve retinal imaging, and automate analysis of tissue cultures. Since its start in 1994, AutoQuant has been awarded a total of nine Phase I and six Phase II grants.
AutoQuant develops advanced software for deconvolution and visualization of 3-D light and electron microscope images. Its products are sold through an international distribution network. The company expects to add to its professional staff to assist in performing the funded research.
