NEW PRODUCT PRESS RELEASE
Sensoray’s (Tigard, OR, USA) Model 2253 is a compact USB audio/video codec. The Sensoray board’s small size (1.5"x2.75") and low power consumption (1.5 W) make it ideal for embedded applications. In the encoding mode model 2253 outputs an uncompressed low latency video stream along with the compressed video stream to facilitate previewing and real time image-processing functions. Up to 80 characters of overlay text may be added to the video.
Theboard can also perform as a decoder, converting the compressed audio/video stream into standard analog video and audio signals (to be supported in SDK Release 2 -- download manufacturer’s hardware manual for list of currently supported features).
Model 2253 is powered through the USB port and does not require any additional power supplies.
Each unit has a unique serial number in its flash memory and on a bar coded label. The serial number can be read using the software API.
a. Two concurrent output video streams:
1. Uncompressed (preview, analytics) + compressed
2. Two compressed streams at different resolutions, compression types, bit rates
b.. Low preview latency: 60 ms (glass to glass)
c.. H.264 HP@L3, MPEG-4 ASP, MJPEG video compression
d.. AAC, G.711 audio compression, uncompressed PCM (SDK Release 2)
e.. Text overlay
f.. Three general-purpose digital I/O signals
g.. Software accessible serial number
