NOVEMBER 28, 2008--Adaptive Vision Studio's point-and-click interface does not require additional programming knowledge. More advanced users can develop custom filters using C++ code. User-defined filters can be used within Adaptive Vision Studio environment as any other built-in filters. Express is the lower-cost version aimed at engineers working on computer vision problems. It contains a library of most common image processing and analysis functions but does not include camera support; only images stored in files can be loaded and used within the software. Professional is advanced version targeted to system integrators. In addition to Express, it includes GenICam camera support, the GUI Designer component, and more advanced image analysis functions: barcode identification, data matrix identification, OCR, and template matching.

PRESS RELEASE
21st August 2008
Adaptive Vision Studio - future of machine vision software
Adaptive Vision is launching its new machine vision software package, Adaptive Vision Studio. Its ease of use combined with powerful image analysis functions (so-called filters) allows more efficient development of computer vision applications. The software should be of interest particularly for those users who wish to experiment with various image processing, analysis and recognition algorithms in a visual, user-friendly manner.
The users do not have to be familiar with programming techniques as the built-in filter library is available through a point and click interface. If a machine vision problem is unique and requires some problem-specific functions, more advanced users can develop their own custom filters using C++ code. The user-defined filters can be used within Adaptive Vision Studio environment as any other built-in filters.
There are two versions of the software. Adaptive Vision Studio Express is a low-cost version aimed at engineers working on computer vision problems. It contains a library of most common image processing and analysis functions however it does not include camera support so only images stored in files can be loaded and used within the software. An evaluation version of Adaptive Vision Studio Express is available for download at: www.adaptive-vision.com.
Adaptive Vision Studio Professional is the most advanced version aimed at system integrators. In addition to Express version it includes GenICam camera support, GUI Designer component and more advanced image analysis functions such as: barcode identification, data matrix identification, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), template matching.
