OCTOBER 16, 2008--Matrox Imaging (Dorval, QC, Canada; www.matrox.com) will offer a series of free machine-vision seminars on Nov. 4 and 5, 2008 during next month's VISION show at the Neue Messe Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany.
Presented in English, several seminars will highlight the latest features of the Matrox Imaging Library 9.0 (MIL), a collection of software tools for developing industrial imaging applications. Topics include how MIL 9 takes advantage of multicore CPU, GPU, and FPGA technology to offload and accelerate image processing color analysis, and 3D imaging. A seminar that describes how to use and developFPGA configurations with Matrox Imaging FDK 2.0 will also be offered in English.
Presented in both English and German, the Matrox Design Assistant seminar will demonstrate development of applications with the Matrox Design Assistant integrated development environment and Matrox Iris E-Series smart camera. Non-programmers will see how to set upimage capture and perform operations such as location, measurement, reading, part identification, and communication and I/O within a flowchart-based graphical user interface.
