FEBRUARY 6, 2008--ISRA VISION, one of the top ten suppliers of industrial image processing and a market leader in surface inspection systems, has signed a cooperation agreement with Nakan, the Japanese line integrator for FPD (flat-panel display) production. ISRA will be delivering multiple inspection systems for a new production line for FPDs that Nakan is building. The size of the order is significantly more than €1 million.
Nakan will be building a coating for automated FPD glass production for a producer in China. ISRA will be providing a series of various inspection systems for this project. "This order signifies the beginning of a fruitful partnership between Nakan and ISRA," said Enis Ersü, chairman of the executive board of ISRA Vision AG. "Although we have in the past booked several contracts in the growing market for FDP glass, this cooperative partnership with Nakan will take us to a new position in this industry."
