Matrox Imaging is offering classroom training on the Matrox Design Assistant 4 (DA 4) machine vision software, it, as well as the MIL/MIL-Lite environment at the company’s Montreal, Canada headquarters from October 6-8.
DA4 is the first hardware-independent integrated development environment that lets users create an application flowchart and HMI and take projects from concept to completion without the need for conventional programming. The software, which was showcased at the AIA Vision Show in April, works not only with Matrox Iris GT smart cameras, but also any PC with GigE Vision or USB3 Vision cameras, including the 4Sight GPm industrial computer.

The classroom training is designed for system integrators, in-house integration specialists, machine builders, and OEMs who wish to develop vision or inspection systems. Attendees at the training sessions can expect to learn how to configure and deploy vision applications by constructing a flowchart without writing code, as well as set up the HMI and choose the best analysis and processing tools for their application. In addition, attendees will learn to interface automation equipment like PLCs all within the Design Assistant IDE.
