LMI Technologies has announced the release of Gocator 4.0 firmware, which supports LMI’s Gocator 3D Smart Sensor product line, including displacement, profile, and snapshot sensors. Gocator 4.0 firmware brings with it a complete redesign of the web browser user interface experience that features an improved workflow and layout, along with a regrouping of measurement tools for quick setup. Additional developments to the Gocator 4.0 firmware release include a built-in capability to remove noise around the perimeter and interior of scanned surfaces or parts, an increased ability to handle part variations with flexible anchoring, and support for a number of methods to create a surface or a 3D point cloud.
