BitFlow has announced the release of the Karbon CL4-SP frame grabber, a special single-camera version of its Karbon-CL, designed to handle the latest 80-bit 85 MHz cameras, which are the fastest cameras supported by the Camera Link standard. The half-size x8 PCI Express board frame grabber supports images up to 256K x 128K and has no frame rate limit. In addition, the frame grabbers feature a configurable acquisition engine, DMA at burst rates up to 2.0 GB/s, and an onboard timing generator that supports high-resolution exposure control. Karbon CL4-SP frame grabbers are supported by the BitFlow SDK on 32 and 64-bit Windows and are suitable for use in machine vision, medical imaging, intelligent transportation systems, and quality control.
