Micro-Epsilon four-channel RS422/USB converter converts signals from up to four optical sensors

Micro-Epsilon’s four-channel RSS422/USB converter, the IF2004/USB, converts digital signals from up to four optical sensors into a USB data packet.

Micro-Epsilon’s four-channel RSS422/USB converter, the IF2004/USB, converts digital signals from up to four optical sensors into a USB data packet. The IF2004/USB has four trigger inputs and a trigger output for connecting additional converters, and connected sensors and the converter are programmable through software. The converter ensures synchronous data acquisition for a defined temporal allocation of the four RS422 inputs, which is particularly important for small system solutions with multiple sensors, such as those used in thickness measurements. With the IF2004/USB, PCs—even those without the RS422 interface—can now evaluate readings from laser and confocal sensors from Micro-Epsilon.
