    Accusoft has announced the release of ImageGear Professional v18.1 for Linux and Windows—an enhanced version of the company’s software development kit for building image viewing, processing, and editing functions into applications for Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux environments. ImageGear Professional v18.1 provides tools for image editing, file compression, and printing while enabling users to create high-performance custom imaging applications. Applications built with ImageGear Professional offer viewing and image-editing tools for more than 100 different image file types, including PDF, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, CAD, ABIC check imaging, JPEG XR, the latest camera RAW formats, and more. ImageGear Professional v18.1 is suitable for use in medical imaging and OCR applications.
