MVTec and LinX take Halcon user seminar to Japan

MARCH 10, 2009--MVTec's Halcon 9.0 machine-vision software was the focus of three user seminars that took place in Kyoto, Nagoya, and Tokyo, Japan from Feb. 25-27, 2009.

MARCH 10, 2009--MVTec's (Munich, Germany, and Boston, MA, USA; www.mvtec.com) Halcon 9.0 machine-vision software was the focus of three user seminars that took place in Kyoto, Nagoya, and Tokyo, Japan from Feb. 25-27, 2009. The seminars were hosted by LinX Corp. (Yokohama, Japan), the exclusive distributor of Halcon in Japan.

About 600 decision makers and engineers from the Japanese industry took part in the seminars. Topics were the focused training in the latest innovations of v9.0 -- increased speed of automatic operator parallelization, new matching technologies for perspective distortions, new techniques for 3-D vision, processing of images larger than 32k x 32k pixels, and other enhanced usability features. In addition to the presentations, Japanese companies showcased their latest machine-vision solutions implemented with Halcon.
