JANUARY 28, 2009--MVTec Software (Munich, Germany; www.mvtec.com) has held an international distributor training for the latest release of its machine-vision software Halcon in Munich, Germany, from January 19-23, 2009. Halcon 9.0 is available since January 26.
Fifty-eight distribution engineers from 21 countries worldwide took part in the event. Topics included focused training regarding the improvements and innovations to Halcon's integrated development environment due to increases in speed, especially for its automatic operator parallelization; new matching technologies for perspective distortions; techniques for 3D vision; the processing of images larger than 32k x 32k pixels; and the software's enhanced usability.
