APRIL 10, 2009--Three Silver Series widescreen graphic OITs (operator interface terminals) are available for human machine interfaces (HMIs). In 4.3-, 7-, and 10-in. sizes, the widescreens offer one-third more usable screen area. Their graphic capability is reinforced with a 400-MHz CPU; memory is provided via 128 Mbytes of flash and 64-Mbyte DRAM. EZware configuration software lets the user design and customize the widescreen application. The 7-in. HMI5070TH displays high-definition graphics on an 800 x 480-pixel TFT touch-screen, which has five times more pixels than a comparable standard 5.7-in model (which has 320 x 240 pixels). The 10-in. OIT (800 x 480-pixel resolution) features an 400-MHz processor. Both the 7- and 10-in. models feature a complete connectivity package with Ethernet, serial, and USB ports. The 4.3-in. unit's 480 x 272-pixel TFT display offers 75% more pixel coverage than a standard 6-in. unit. The HMI can be used in place of hardware switches and controls.

PRESS RELEASE

MAPLE SYSTEMS RELEASES NEW WIDESCREEN and HIGH DEFINITION HMIs

New Widescreens Offer Great Value

(Everett, WA) - Maple Systems Inc., a company that specializes in offering value-driven Operator Interface Products, has just released three new cutting edge Widescreen Graphic OITs. These innovative HMIs offer a substantial improvement in visual performance over standard interfaces, and in budget-conscious times their attractive pricing (the lowest in the marketplace) is an important consideration.

Coming in 4.3", 7" and 10" sizes, they deliver quality regarding their visual clarity, crispness, brightness and color. Also, these widescreens offer a third more usable screen area. Their enhanced graphic capability is reinforced with a speedy 400 MHz CPU and a memory boost with 128 MB of Flash and 64 MB DRAM. Additionally, Maple Systems EZware configuration software lets you design and customize your widescreen application the way you want it.

Their 7" widescreen (the HMI5070TH) is raising the bar with its stunning new high definition 7" widescreen. This allows the display of high definition graphics on an 800 x 480 TFT Touchscreen. This innovative display has 5 times more pixels than a comparable standard 5.7" model (which has 320 x 240 pixels).

Additionally, the outer dimensions of the 7" Widescreen's enclosure are the same as a standard 5.7" unit, so it is an easy switch-out for those wanting to upgrade. Added to that is a complete connectivity package with Ethernet, serial and USB ports. And Maple Systems offers support for over 100 different protocols (including Allen-Bradley and Modbus).

The 10" Widescreen (800 x 480 pixel resolution) is an attractive option when you want the wider visual impact, but need the practical and functional capabilities of a larger HMI. And with the 400MHz processor, you've got double the speed of most competitors' models. And the 10" is available with the same connectivity package as the 7" unit including the Ethernet Port and the 100 (plus) protocol support.

If you want value in a tiny package, the 4.3 inch widescreen is a logical choice. This little unit has features and capabilities that you will find in units costing hundreds more. In fact its 480 x 272 pixel resolution TFT display offers 75 percent more pixel coverage than a standard 6" unit. And with popup windows and animation on a high-contrast high-brightness touchscreen, this unit is an attractive replacement for any situation where space is at a premium. Furthermore this functional and affordable HMI can be an effective alternative for hardware switches and controls.

All three of these innovative Widescreen Models offer these new and innovative enhancements at the best pricing in the industry. Also, they come with a 2 year warranty and full technical support. Maple Systems is an industry leader with a 26 year track record of superior customer service.
