IPOT sees strong rise in preregistration

JANUARY 11--Trident Exhibition has announced that visitor preregistration figures for its eight collocated exhibitions taking place on 15 & 16 February 2006 at the NEC Birmingham were up by 34% as of the first week in January.

JANUARY 11--Trident Exhibition has announced that visitor preregistration figures for its eight collocated exhibitions--Mtec, Industrial Networks, Machine Building, IPOT, Machine Vision, Displays Technology, Practical Vacuum, and Drives & Motion Control Systems--taking place on 15 & 16 February 2006 at the NEC Birmingham were up by 34% as of the first week in January, compared to the same period in 2005. Companies that already have representatives registered to attend include Land Rover, IBM, Kellogg, British Nuclear Group, BAE Systems Ltd, QINETIQ, Esso Petroleum Company, Texas Instruments, Unilever R&D, Rolls-Royce, Williams F1, Epson Telford, Honda, Panasonic, Stannah Stairlifts Ltd, and Lexmark International.

Together IPOT--imaging, photonics, and optical technology, Machine Vision, and Displays Technology offer visitors a complete optical, photonics, and vision event and feature a wide range of companies involved with image capture, image processing, image compression hardware and software, imaging systems and intensifiers, image display, image output, image storage, general-purpose industrial vision systems, special-purpose industrial vision systems, cameras specially designed for machine vision, components for vision systems, displays, components, and systems, and lighting systems. They are supported by the Photonics Cluster and the UKIVA, which will be holding workshops and seminars over the two days.

This year there will be a new Laser Centre supported by The Association of Industrial Laser Users (AILU). The new Laser Centre will be a dedicated area within IPOT with companies featured involved in all aspects of lasers including the research activities and initiatives currently being worked in the UK and Europe.

The exhibitions are open from 10am - 5pm on day 1 and 10am - 4pm on day 2. Entrance to all exhibitions is free, and registering for one will allow access to all the collocated shows. For further details visit www.tridentexhibitions.co.uk.
