NOVEMBER 14--Tyzx (Menlo Park, CA, USA; www.tyzx.com) and Innotech Corporation (Kanagawa, Japan), an advanced technology solution provider, will jointly distribute and support Tyzx stereo vision products in Japan. Under terms of the agreement, Innotech will distribute the full range of Tyzx hardware and software solutions, including the recently announced DeepSea G2 stereo vision system, a small, multipurpose, embedded stereo camera that can be deployed in mobile platforms such as commercial and defense robots, automobiles, or networked together into person-tracking security systems.
"Tyzx has already established a presence in the Japanese auto market through its relationship with Takata, a global manufacturer of automotive safety systems," said Ron Buck, CEO of Tyzx. "This relationship with Innotech will drive adoption of our easily manufactured, cost-effective, high-quality 3-D vision systems into other dynamic Japanese markets such as robotics and electronic gaming."
The low power requirements and small footprint of the new embedded G2 vision system permit powerful real-time 3-D vision processing in applications and products where traditional workstations cannot be used. Tyzx 3DAWARE real-time 3-D stereovision is especially useful for products that operate in dynamic, variably lit environments. It also provides higher quality results, such as color, wider field of view, higher resolution and better range accuracy, than monocular optical-based, lidar, or radar systems.
