OCTOBER 25--Applied Manufacturing Technologies (Orion, MI, USA; www.appliedmfg.com), a supplier of factory-automation design, engineering, and process consulting services has announced its strategic alliance with Perceptron (Plymouth, MI, USA; www.perceptron.com).

OCTOBER 25--Applied Manufacturing Technologies (AMT; Orion, MI, USA; www.appliedmfg.com), a supplier of factory-automation design, engineering, and process consulting services has announced its strategic alliance with Perceptron (Plymouth, MI, USA; www.perceptron.com) to leverage the companies' complementary technology and services to promote growth of the noncontact robotic measurement and inspection market. AMT's robot programming, custom software design, and engineering simulation services will be coupled with Perceptron's noncontact measurement technology to help customers improve quality, shorten product launch times, and reduce overall manufacturing costs.

The alliance establishes AMT as one of Perceptron's preferred suppliers of engineering services and establishes Perceptron as AMT's preferred supplier of noncontact flexible metrology systems.

Perceptron produces information-based process improvement solutions for industry, as well as technology components for noncontact measurement and inspection applications.
