NOVEMBER 29, 2007--Matrox Imaging (Dorval, QC, Canada;www.matrox.com/imaging/) has appointed InviSys SVC Ltda as the official Matrox Imaging distributor in Brazil. InviSys will be selling Matrox Imaging's complete line of hardware and software components for industrial and scientific imaging applications.

"Brazil's economy stands out in South America, and its expansion means there is great potential for the machine vision market," explains Sam Lopez, Matrox Imaging Sales Manager Europe and South America. "InviSys has valuable experience in areas such as biometrics, intelligent video analysis, and artificial intelligence--experience that will integrate nicely with Matrox Imaging's product line."

"The manufacturing sector is key to Brazil's economy," says Alessandro L. Koerich, vice president of business at InviSys, "and very few facilities have automated inspection systems. Companies are looking to modernize, so we expect the market to recognize the benefits and long-term cost savings of machine vision. Matrox Imaging's products will allow us to quickly develop the proof-of-concept, prototype, and final system for our customers' applications."

Founded in 2004, InviSys SVC Ltda specializes in computer vision, biometrics, artificial intelligence, and software engineering solutions for the Brazilian and South American markets. Located in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil, InviSys develops computer-based systems for industrial and research applications, and offers system integration services such as system design, system installation, customer training, and extended system support.
