ISRA VISION acquires Metronom Automation

NOVEMBER 1, 2007--ISRA VISION (Darmstadt, Germany) has acquired Metronom Automation (Mainz, Germany), which specializes in measurement technology and general image processing.

NOVEMBER 1, 2007--ISRA VISION (Darmstadt, Germany), a supplier of industrial image processing, has acquired Metronom Automation (Mainz, Germany), a company that specializes in the areas of measurement technology and general image processing. Metronom solutions can guarantee, for instance, optimal accuracy of fit for sheet-metal parts in automobile-body work. The special software enables comprehensive analysis options for production. In the area of general image processing, Metronom has specialized in various inspection applications in the nonindustrial sector.

Metronom will achieve a turnover of about ↺2 million in 2007. The sale price equals 1.5 times the turnover, and ↺800,000 of this will be paid in ISRA shares. The remainder will be paid cash.

With this transaction, ISRA is continuing its strategy of strong external growth. The goal is to increase ISRA's group turnover to more than ↺100 million by 2011.

ISRA VISION supplies machine vision systems for surface inspection and robot guidance. Clients include DaimlerChrysler, KUKA, ABB, BMW, Volkswagen, General Motors, Ford, Schott, Saint Gobain, Pilkington, MAN Roland, Asahi, 3M, DuPont, Stora Enso, Weyerhaeuser, and Crane.
