SEPTEMBER 28, 2007--MAZeT GmbH (Jena, Germany; www.MAZeT.de), a system house for industrial electronics and JENCOLOR color sensors, launched its new color and spectral sensoring business unit on August 1, 2007. The newly established product and service division will be headed by Frank Krumbein, who played an important role in introducing and establishing the color sensor division at MAZeT. This new division will provide a wide range of customer-specific solutions, particularly for applications where color recognition and color evaluation play a role.

"We're taking our existing JENCOLOR product line, with its ICs, function boards, and software, and consolidating it into an independent business unit. Its product range will be rounded out by our other segments of hardware and software development, chip design (ASIC/FPGA), and production," explains Krumbein.

"Turning this product line into an independent business unit will allow us to respond to the rising global demand for JENCOLOR solutions and also enable us to do a better job of satisfying customer requirements. By creating this new sensoring unit, we're underlining our company strategy, which is to offer comprehensive support and advice to our customers."
