AUGUST 24--ipd (Billerica, MA; www.goipd.com), the intelligent products division of Coreco Imaging Inc., has named Raumland Systems Inc. (www.raumland.com) as an Idaho, New Mexico, and Utah distributor of its complete line of machine-vision solutions.

(www.raumland.com) as an Idaho, New Mexico, and Utah distributor of its complete line of easy-to-use machine-vision solutions for manufacturing end users and system integrators. "Raumland is dedicated to helping its customers manufacture quality products as efficiently and cost effectively as possible and to implementing new solutions in innovative ways to accomplish these goals," said Steve Geraghty, director of ipd. "This is the type of 'out-of-the-box' thinking that we know will help contribute to the ongoing success of ipd's machine-vision product line."

ipd's product line features vision appliances--user-friendly solutions designed for manufacturing tasks-such as gauging, detecting labels, or product assembly and verification-that end users can install and run within minutes; NetSight II --a preintegrated vision system that incorporate ipd's Sherlock software and all of the necessary hardware for industrial quality assurance and inspection applications, saving end users time and money; and Sherlock--a Windows-based, "point-and-click" software environment that simplifies the development and deployment of machine vision solutions. Sherlock is offered in two versions to meet each users' application needs and price points: Sherlock Essential, an entry-level, low-cost package that includes the most commonly used machine vision features, and Sherlock Professional, the industry-proven, full-featured version of the software.
