I-Beam Capture Server solutions bridge the divide that has traditionally isolated plant-floor images from being combined with plant-floor data. By using an internal Web report browser, images and data can be accessed from any work station connected to a network. Cameras are configured by setting the capture rate, image size, and report criteria.
"In many cases it takes less than a day to set up a large system," Nesbitt says. The I-Beam Capture Server Software provides Web-based setup and configuration. Systems integrators can select and view reports and system status directly from the source, without installing any additional software on the web browser. System status can be viewed from anywhere on a network or from a PDA on the factory floor. Production, management, quality assurance, maintenance and customer service personnel can then view historical images and data by using a variety of platforms CPUs.
