NOVEMBER 8--In line with the company's objective of delivering the industry's best customer service, Radstone Technology (Woodcliff Lake, NJ, USA; www.radstone.com) has announced that it would be establishing a new engineering center in North America. Located in Billerica, MA, the 3000-sq ft facility will be home to a team of design and development engineers, as well as to front-line customer service and support staff. Radstone Technology an independent supplier of high-performance, embedded computer products for defense and aerospace applications.
"The large majority of our business derives from customers in the United States," said Jeff Perrin, chief executive of Radstone Technology, "and this exciting new move is designed to reinforce our commitment to providing the best possible service and support to those customers. Our strategic vision for the future sees us continuing to develop our presence still further in North America in the coming years."
The new facility is expected to be operational by the end of 2004 and will complement the existing Radstone sales and support offices located in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, and throughout the country. Radstone currently employs around 30 people in the United States in sales and customer-support roles.
Radstone's products include the innovative and rugged single-board computers, digital-signal processors, graphics and imaging processors, networking and communications modules. Foundation Technology, the Group's Electronics Manufacturing Services business, provides a wide range of electronic manufacturing services including design, development and fast-track prototype build, through to component procurement, automated assembly and test.
