Schneider-Kreuznach releases new high precision lens

The new lens has a maximum chief ray angle of 6°, which according to the manufacturer makes the Xenon-Opal 2.8/12 ideal for sensors with pixel sizes down to 3 µm.

The new Xenon-Opal 2.8/12 compact lens from Schneider-Kreuznach is designed to operate with 12 MPixel cameras and 1.1" optical format sensors. The new lens has a maximum chief ray angle of 6°, which according to the manufacturer makes the Xenon-Opal 2.8/12 ideal for sensors with pixel sizes down to 3 µm.

400 to 1000 nm anti-reflective coating to support LED illumination from blue light to NIR, C-Mount, and field curvature correction are other chief features of the Xenon-Opal 2.8/12.
