Lucid Vision Labs reveals embedded camera for NVIDIA Jetson TX2

Lucid Vision Labs has revealed its new Helios Embedded ToF camera module, designed to support the NVIDIA Jetson TX2 board. The Helios Embedded is a 0.3 MPixel camera equipped with the Sony DepthSense IMX556PLR CMOS sensor that features 640 x 480 resolution, 10 µm pixel size, 30 fps, integrated S-Mount lens with 6 mm focal length, and that supports 1/2" optical format. Illumination is provided by four VCSEL laser diodes at 850 nm.

The MIPI-interface camera module is 55 x 55 x 43.7 mm in size, has an operating temperature of -10° to 60° C, and needs <15 w of power. According to the manufacturer, the new camera module has a working range of up to 1.5 m in Near Mode, and up to 6 m in Far Mode; accuracy of less than 5 mm at 0.3 m to 1.5 m distance; and precision of less than 2mm at 1 m distance.

The Helios Embedded camera module will be available in Q4 2019.
