Lucid Vision Labs has revealed its new Helios Embedded ToF camera module, designed to support the NVIDIA Jetson TX2 board. The Helios Embedded is a 0.3 MPixel camera equipped with the Sony DepthSense IMX556PLR CMOS sensor that features 640 x 480 resolution, 10 µm pixel size, 30 fps, integrated S-Mount lens with 6 mm focal length, and that supports 1/2" optical format. Illumination is provided by four VCSEL laser diodes at 850 nm.
The MIPI-interface camera module is 55 x 55 x 43.7 mm in size, has an operating temperature of -10° to 60° C, and needs <15 w of power. According to the manufacturer, the new camera module has a working range of up to 1.5 m in Near Mode, and up to 6 m in Far Mode; accuracy of less than 5 mm at 0.3 m to 1.5 m distance; and precision of less than 2mm at 1 m distance.
The Helios Embedded camera module will be available in Q4 2019.
