Edmund Optics releases new near infrared and line scan camera lenses

Dec. 17, 2019
Designed respectively for NIR applications, and electronics, flat panel display, and semiconductor wafer inspection.

Edmund Optics has released two new lens product lines: Near-Infrared (NIR) Precision Aspheric Lenses and TECHSPEC LS Series Line Scan lenses.

Near-Infrared (NIR) Precision Aspheric Lenses are polished through a computer numerical controlled (CNC) process to provide high precision across the NIR spectrum and eliminate spherical aberration. Models with low numerical aperture designs to maintain beam shape, or high numerical aperture designs for applications that require light-gathering, are available.

TECHSPEC LS Series Line Scan lenses, designed for 82 mm 16k line scan cameras with 5 µm pixels and 62.5mm 12k line scan cameras with 5μm pixels, are designed with low distortions and have available features for coaxial inline illumination for area scan sensors. Irises adjust from f/2.9 to f/22 and are lockable. V-Mounts are designed to allow for easy adjustment and alignment.
