Cameras designed for embedded applications feature liquid lens support

New uEye LA AF camera models offer Sony image sensors and USB 3.1 interface.

IDS Imaging Development Systems has expanded its uEye LA AF camera series with models featuring Sony IMX290 image sensors, with 2.1 MPixel resolution and 120 fps, and Sony IMX265 image sensors, with 3.1 MPixel resolution and 80 fps. Both new models feature USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface, USB power delivery, and support liquid lens use and control.

With a 36 x 36 x 20 mm footprint, the cameras are designed with embedded applications in mind. According to the manufacturer, the cameras are suited for logistics applications such as parcel acceptance or sorting, traffic monitoring applications, and integration into small medical and industrial devices.
