Line scan camera images visible and NIR wavelengths simultaneously
The SW-8000Q series of multispectral line scan cameras are based on four 8k CMOS sensors mounted on a four-way dichroic prism that separates light into red, green, blue, and near infrared (NIR) wavelengths, providing RGB and multispectral images simultaneously. According to the manufacturer, this design is intended to allow the camera to lessen or eliminate the effects of vibration and of speed variation of objects on conveyor belts.
Multispectral image data can be transmitted as a combined stream or dual-stream format. The dual stream configuration supports 8-bit or 10-bit output per channel and maximum line rate of 36 kHz for 8-bit RGB + NIR data or 37 kHz for YUV + NIR data. For single stream output, the maximum line rate is 37 kHz.
Two camera models are available. The SW-8000Q-10GE features a 10 GigE interface, backwards compatible to 5, 2.5, or 1 GigE standards. The SW-8000Q-SFP model features an SFP+ interface that delivers GigE Vision output over optical fiber cables. Nikon F-mount and M52 lens mounts are available for either camera.
Both cameras offer 3.75 x 5.78 µm rectangular pixels in two-line arrangement with the ability to adjust line width to less than 8192 pixels and support the IEEE 1588 protocol for multi-camera networked configurations.
