The CV5S and CV52S SoCs support 4K resolution and AI on the edge

The CV5S and CV52S AI vision systems-on-chip (SoCs) are based on the CVflow architecture and 5 nm process technology and support 3K encoding and AI processing. According to the manufacturer the sensors are ideal for security, AIoT, and smart city applications. Both series will be available for sampling in October 2021.

The CV5S series of SoCs are ideal for security applications that require multiple sensors for 360° coverage, over a wide area and at long range. They also can simultaneously process and encode four channels up to 8 MPixels, or 4K resolution, each at 30 fps while also performing AI functions on each.

The CV52S series is designed for single-sensor security cameras that need to identify individuals or objects, like faces or license plates. They support 4K resolution at 60 fps.
